New kid-friendly coworking space aims to help entrepreneurs find work-life balance

Balance Space, which will soon open on Patterson Avenue, will offer freelancers and entrepreneurs coworking memberships that include childcare.

A new child-friendly coworking space will open soon in Henrico’s West End.

Balance Space, created by co-owners Bunny Young, Amy Miller, and Courtney Buzzell Riley, will host current and prospective members at its free business social networking event Jan. 17 at its new location, 10431 Patterson Avenue.

The three women – all parents and business owners themselves – wanted to create a space where parenting and owning a business could co-exist.

Balance Space will offer memberships that include childcare, making that balance much easier to find, they believe.
