Richmond Zombie Walk in Carytown – Richmond’s annual celebration of the undead gets underway Saturday afternoon, October 27th in Carytown. The 14th annual Richmond Zombie Walk will walk Richmond’s Mile of Style at 2:30 PM. Looks can kill–come in your best zombie attire and dress to impress or horrify. Heaven & Hell Party at The Hof – The Hof in Scott’s Addition will again host its annual Heaven and Hell Party on three floors this weekend in Scott’s Addition. The setup goes as one might imagine–the first floor represents Hell, the second floor is Purgatory, and the rooftop is Heaven. There will be a total of four DJs at the event, two live bands, an included rooftop buffet, costume contest, and more. The party is this Saturday, October 27th and runs from 6:00 PM until 2:00 AM. Innsbrook’s Great Pumpkin Palooza – The Innsbrook Foundation is teaming up with the Cameron K. Gallagher Foundation this Saturday for the annual Great Pumpkin Palooza. There will be lots of great live music, food, family activities, and an annual favorite, the “Punkin Dunkin,” Local engineering firms and high schools will test their engineering skills and launch pumpkins up to 700 feet in the air–it’s quite a spectacle. Brunswick Stew & Stout Festival – What makes this year’s Brunswick Stew & Stout Festival so special? All of the stews you will sample on Saturday will be made from scratch on-site. Stew Masters gather at midnight the night before the competition to prepare stews, then serve you the freshest stews on the 27th. Stouts will be served this year from the surrounding businesses in an effort to support merchants as construction on the 17th Street Farmers Market winds down. Samples are a dollar a pop. “Fresh Paint” opening reception at the Virginia Museum of History & Culture – The Virginia Museum of History & Culture is hosting a special reception in celebration of the opening of Fresh Paint – a new exhibition featuring ten murals inspired by objects in the museum’s vast collection of nine million pieces. You can meet the artists and hear about their inspiration and the creative process behind each mural.
