Imperial Milk Stout Release – Ardent, Thursday
This cooler weather means one thing: stout season! 🙌 Imperial Milk Stout returns on Thursday, available on draft and in bottles.
Our Imperial Milk Stout is bold and rich, featuring notes of chocolate and residual sweetness from the addition of lactose, balanced by a roasty base. This big, dark stout is silky smooth, with none of the boozy burn you might expect from a 10% stout. Perfect for cooler weather and longer nights.

Pumpkin Spiced Latte & PawPawportunity Wheat Ale – Three Notch’d Collab House, Thursday
Join us this Thursday for a special Dual Release as we have 2 new beers to debut from the RVA Collab House with Pint Specials from 4-7pm on both beers. Check out this week’s releases from RVA Head Brewer Willey Broaddus:
“Pumpkin Spiced Latte”
Pumpkin Spiced Amber Ale Conditioned With Cold Brewed Coffee
Collaboration with University of Richmond SPCS Beer Brewing Education Program
This Pumpkin Spiced Latte will hit the spot on those cool autumn days. Brewed in collaboration with the University of Richmond SPCS’s new Beer Brewing Education Program, this beer was chosen to show the students all sorts of brewing techniques. From obtaining locally sourced malt to formulating the amount of spice to add, and from prepping squash to be added in the boil to cleanly adding coffee to finished beer, all the old school techniques were brought out for this one. And the hard work paid off.
ALSO releasing is:
Wheat Ale with Pawpaw Fruit
Collaboration with Darden School of Brew
Introducing the 2nd release in this year’s set of Darden collaborations. “PawPawportunity” is a light wheat beer with a heavy set of locally picked pawpaw fruit added in. Pawpaws are fruit native to the Eastern United States and have a taste similar to banana, mango and cantaloupe. This refreshing beer is sure to quench any fruit lover’s thirst.

RVA Beer Explorer’s Last Call
The RVA Beer Explorer is sailing off into the sunset but hopefully, you’ll like its fuzzy replacement.
The RVA Beer Explorer is throwing in his beer-soaked towel. The number of breweries and the beer scene of Richmond is awesome. Over the years for health reasons (nothing dramatic just self-realization about my intake) I’ve become less and less part of that awesome beer scene. As a result, I don’t have the passion needed to keep writing about beer every week so it’s time to say goodbye. RVAHub will continue to cover the big beer events and they’ll show up in their respective neighborhood areas or on the main site. We wouldn’t want you to miss out on some of the more unique events that pop-up.
Later today I’ll launch my new weekly post Critters of the Week. It will feature a picture and information about a wild animal spotted in the RVA area and an animal up for adoption by SPCA or RACC.
To my loyal readers out there I thank you for spending time with me each week and putting up with my many, many typos.
