On Friday, October 19, join the ODU Alumni Richmond Chapter for an evening of fine bourbon, craft ales, and delicious BBQ. Enjoy a private guided tour and bourbon tasting at the popular new Reservoir Distillery, then walk just three blocks through Scott’s Addition Boulevard Association for a pint at Ardent Craft Ales and a BBQ buffet courtesy of Deep Run Roadhouse.
For just $25, guests will receive the private tour and tasting at Reservoir Distillery, a pint of beer and BBQ buffet at Ardent Craft Ales, and an ODU Alumni Association beer growler.

The Capital Trail is a wonderful addition to our area. A connection all the way to Williamsburg that allows bikers a safe journey. It should be celebrated more often. This event combines a celebration and a little clean-up action.

RVA Rocks! Adult Rocking Painting and Meetup – Intermission, Saturday
If you’ve done any wandering around the city you’ve likely seen painted rocks. The rocks are there to provide a little joy. Often the rocks are painted by the RVA Rocks! group. Learn more and leave with your own painted rock at Intermission.

The good folks at Lickinghole Creek Craft Brewery made a Shockoe Stout to celebrate and help out the 17th Street Famer’s Market. A portion of proceeds goes to the 17th Street Farmers Market. The market has been going through renovations for what seems like forever. The vendors have suffered. This weekend Craft Vendors will be out at the brewery. Right now there are only three listed but hopefully, that list will grow.

Collaboration with University of Richmond SPCS Beer Brewing Education Program
This Pumpkin Spiced Latte will hit the spot on those cool autumn days. Brewed in collaboration with the University of Richmond SPCS’s new Beer Brewing Education Program, this beer was chosen to show the students all sorts of brewing techniques. From obtaining locally sourced malt to formulating the amount of spice to add, and from prepping squash to be added in the boil to cleanly adding coffee to finished beer, all the old school techniques were brought out for this one. And the hard work paid off.

Introducing the 2nd release in this year’s set of Darden collaborations. “PawPawportunity” is a light wheat beer with a heavy set of locally picked pawpaw fruit added in. Pawpaws are fruit native to the Eastern United States and have a taste similar to banana, mango and cantaloupe. This refreshing beer is sure to quench any fruit lover’s thirst.
