The Northside Strong Initiative is stepping forward with a new effort to unite members of the Northside community with a literally active way to improve safety in Northside neighborhoods.

On Monday, October 1st, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. (rain date is October 8th) Non-profit organizations, community members, and other stakeholders will meet at Partnership for Families, 800 W. Graham Street and come together for walks in areas residents have specifically identified as needing either sidewalk improvements or better street lighting.

During these walks, we will document problems and areas that need improvement, report them to the City’s 311 call center, and distribute information to community members to promote use of the city’s reporting mechanisms to report problems and safety issues.
