Monroe Park will have a reopening ceremony and ribbing cutting tomorrow – Thursday, September 27 at 3pm. 

Richmond’s oldest park has gone through a nearly two-year renovation. After multiple delays due to weather and planning the fences are finally down.

Monroe Park will have a reopening ceremony and ribbing cutting tomorrow – Thursday, September 27 at 3pm.

 

The Monroe Park Conservancy, a non-profit, who will be managing the park has been met with criticism for their handling of the renovation. Many of those criticisms are found in this letter to the Conservancy from the Sierra Club.
