Shockoe Pulse Station damaged following hit-and-run incident
Nobody was injured in the incident, but the eastbound Shockoe Pulse Station will be closed while repairs are made.
Alexander Winston posted the following images on Twitter and has some commentary on the city’s Vision Zero progress. Vision Zero has the goal “eliminate all traffic fatalities and severe injuries, while increasing safe, healthy, equitable mobility for all.”
The eastbound Shockoe Pulse Station will be closed while repairs are made.
As Mayor @LevarStoney confiscates scooters for laughable “public safety” reasons, drivers in Richmond continue to leave behind a trail of death and devastation. One person rammed their 5,000-pound SUV full speed into the Pulse station on E Main St this afternoon. pic.twitter.com/3vNrQCwebc

If our elected officials are serious about achieving Vision Zero and cracking down on public nuisances on city streets, they need to start being honest about what the problem is. It’s not the scooters. It’s the cars. pic.twitter.com/XyACsbzu5o
