Pineapple Great Return Cans + Mamaw’s Mean Cobbler Draft – Hardywood, Friday
PINEAPPLE GREAT RETURN // 7.5% // We’ve added pineapple to our Great Return IPA to bring you a super juicy, warm weather favorite! Available in our Richmond, West Creek and Charlottesville taproom on draft and in 4/16oz cans to go, $15 + tax!
MAMAW’S MEAN COBBLER // 8.2% // Mamaw’s Mean Cobbler is a delightful variation of our Peach Tripel with vanilla, cinnamon and milk sugar additions delivering the classic flavors of a southern-style peach cobbler baked fresh in grandma’s kitchen. Available in our Richmond, West Creek and Charlottesville taproom on draft and growler fills to go only.
Proximity Project: Blackberry Sliced, The Grid, Mesa – Triple Crossing, Friday
Our oak fermented golden sour ale base refermented on a deliberate amount of Blackberry puree. Proximity Project Blackberry Sliced opens with a bright yet tart lactic blackberry aroma. Impressions of dark berry jam and pithy grapefruit oak culminate into a dry, tart baking spice finish.
The hop aromatics of Grid have the high probability of making your nose twitch with satisfaction. Soft bright tropical notes intersect with a small amount of dankness rounding it out. Notes of passionfruit, guava, mango and peaches. We doubled down on two of our favorite hop varietals Mosaic and Falconers flight for this return offering.
Mesa – Our Hoppy Table Beer featuring Cryo Simcoe at 4.5% ABV. Bright and citrus forward blonde ale and extremely palatable. The cryo provides a very bright, zippy and creamy mouthfeel with notes of pithy orange rind and citrus.
Space Force DIPA Release – Final Gravity, Friday
Space Force Double IPA, Brandon Tolbert‘s first original Final Gravity brew, arrives on tap this Friday. Armed with an abundance of Mosaic and Galaxy hops – this DIPA is ready to battle it out with a bouquet of floral notes and citrus undertones. Crowlers available.
RVA Beer Explorer’s Last Call
The RVA Beer Explorer is sailing off into the sunset but hopefully, you’ll like its fuzzy replacement.
The RVA Beer Explorer is throwing in his beer-soaked towel. The number of breweries and the beer scene of Richmond is awesome. Over the years for health reasons (nothing dramatic just self-realization about my intake) I’ve become less and less part of that awesome beer scene. As a result, I don’t have the passion needed to keep writing about beer every week so it’s time to say goodbye. RVAHub will continue to cover the big beer events and they’ll show up in their respective neighborhood areas or on the main site. We wouldn’t want you to miss out on some of the more unique events that pop-up.
Later today I’ll launch my new weekly post Critters of the Week. It will feature a picture and information about a wild animal spotted in the RVA area and an animal up for adoption by SPCA or RACC.
To my loyal readers out there I thank you for spending time with me each week and putting up with my many, many typos.
