Piña Colada Belgian White Ale  2nd Release – Isley, Tuesday (today)

Well…we sold out of the Piña Colada infusion in less than 2.5 hours last week! 😱😭 Didn’t realize so many of you like Piña Coladas and getting caught in the rain! 🍍🥥☔️

So for those of you that missed it, and for those of you that loved it…we’re bringing it back Tuesday 8/14!!! 😍🙌

On tap while supplies last, don’t miss out!

Robust Porter Release – Ardent, Thursday

Robust Porter is a dark brown, medium-bodied American ale with a roasted malt aroma, complex flavor and dry finish. Notes of chocolate and coffee from the malt bill and minimal hoppy bitterness round out this classic porter style.

6% ABV • 31 IBU

Continental Divide Richmond will be the food truck in the beer garden for our Robust Porter release!

Hardywood Hoax Release! – Hardywood, Friday

First introduced in 2017, Hoax was among our most limited releases. This year, Hoax will be available in limited quantities in all 3 Hardywood taproom locations.

ABOUT THE BEER:
Hoax is a behemoth of a beer joining its fellow crafty lineup of misfits, Trickery, Foolery, & Ruse — which have landed among the most highly-rated milk stouts in the world. Aged in freshly-emptied Brandy barrels, Hoax comes in at 13.5% ABV and remains unbelievably and deceptively smooth. Expect a super chewy milk stout with bold oak tannins and notes of grape jam, ripe plums, and dried dates.

Quantities & limits are TBD. Stay tuned! 750mL bottle: $19.99.

Space Invaders DIPA Returns! – Final Gravity, Friday

Space Invaders Double IPA is descending on Final Gravity again this Friday and firing with 100% Mosaic hops, blasting your tastebuds with flavors of mango, lemon, citrus, earthy pine, tropical fruit, herbal and stone fruit notes. You’ll be hitting the replay button again and again and again.

RVA Beer Explorer’s Last Call

The RVA Beer Explorer is sailing off into the sunset but hopefully, you’ll like its fuzzy replacement.

The RVA Beer Explorer is throwing in his beer-soaked towel. The number of breweries and the beer scene of Richmond is awesome. Over the years for health reasons (nothing dramatic just self-realization about my intake) I’ve become less and less part of that awesome beer scene. As a result, I don’t have the passion needed to keep writing about beer every week so it’s time to say goodbye. RVAHub will continue to cover the big beer events and they’ll show up in their respective neighborhood areas or on the main site. We wouldn’t want you to miss out on some of the more unique events that pop-up.

Later today I’ll launch my new weekly post Critters of the Week. It will feature a picture and information about a wild animal spotted in the RVA area and an animal up for adoption by SPCA or RACC.

To my loyal readers out there I thank you for spending time with me each week and putting up with my many, many typos.

In keeping with Jonny’s boundless energy for connection and mobilization of the creative spirit, the festival features local musicians, interactive art booths, play areas and kids’ projects, an amazing raffle, and the Bizarre Market, of course. Jonny was a champion of the market and organized market events for several years. Free to attend!
