Thrash For Cash III Fundraiser – Hardywood (Ownby Lane), Saturday

The skatepark located near Texas Beach was the result of hard work between skaters and the community. They’re continuing their work and taking the park to the next level and need a little cash to get it done.

Join RASA – Richmond Area Skateboard Alliance – for the 3rd Annual Thrash For Cash Fundraiser in support of continued construction at Texas Beach and our Skate After School program launching this fall.

Scott’s Addition Farmer’s Market – Veil Brewing Co., Sunday

Getting vegetables can be a drag. However, it’s much less of a drag when you’re doing it with a beer in your hand.

It’s happening again! We’ll be hosting 16+ farms and vendors for our annual Farmer’s Market in Scott’s Addition. Every 2nd and 4th Sunday from 1p-4p you’ll find some of the best we have in Richmond and beyond. We love our market and vendor friends and we hope you come spend your Sunday afternoons with us and them! The Farmer’s Market in Scott’s Addition starts Sunday, May 13th and will continue to the end of August!

Oktoberfest Beer Release – Center of the Universe, Saturday

This event is for the release of this year’s Oktoberfest beer. 1/2 and Full Liter boots will be available for sale as we await our 2 Day Oktoberfest Celebration which will be taking place on October 5th & 6th. 🍻

This Marzen is in the style of traditional Munich fest biers. German Munich and Vienna malts are used to give the beer a slightly sweet and malty flavor with some toastiness. German Noble hops and the Czech yeast strain used give the beer the kind of nice, clean, easy-drinking quality you look for in an Oktoberfest. Golden to amber in color, we think this beer would be right at home in the festival tents of Munich. (Or Virginia.) Prost!
