Victim Identified in Northside Homicide

At approximately 11:47 p.m., Sunday, July 29th, RPD officers responded to a call for shots fired in the 3100 block of Meadowbridge Road.

From RPD:

The Richmond Police Department has identified the person killed in a shooting overnight as Joseph Lewis, III, 19, of the 200 block of E. Gladstone Avenue, Richmond.

At approximately 11:47 p.m., Sunday, July 29th, RPD officers responded to a call for shots fired in the 3100 block of Meadowbridge Road. When they arrived, they located Lewis’ body lying on the sidewalk at the corner of E. Gladstone Ave. and Meadowbridge Road.

He had been shot.

The medical examiner will determine the exact cause and manner of death.
