Summer Solstice Paddle Potluck

Dinner on the river with like-minded river folk.

I didn’t realize that the summer solstice was sneaking up so fast. Luckily other people (Friends of James River) are more on top of things. Not only did they know it was coming up they’re inviting folks to join them for a little dinner on the river.

Huguenot Flatwater

Celebrate the longest day of the year and kick off the official beginning of summer with new and old friends! Bring your bathing suit and your preferred means of transportation by water (kayaks, canoes, inner tubes, boogie boards, homemade log rafts…). We’ll head out to a sandy island in the river to swim and share a picnic dinner.

Please bring a dish to share.

All ages welcome! This event is free and open to the public, but donations for James River Park will gratefully be accepted.
