Sip and Escape – Kindred Spirits, Tuesday (tonight)

Kindred Spirits has a unique take on escape rooms and or/board game night happening tonight.

Welcome to Sip and Escape, RVA’s hottest entertainment to hit the brewery scene. This isn’t your average trivia night. This is a fast paced, private game for you and your friends. In which you are teamed in groups of 8. Your team will be presented with a series of puzzle boxes to solve. Your prize for successfully opening a box is bragging rights and most importantly BEER! This will be a fun filled night, to not only have fun, drink, but to test your skill and knowledge. Book now, there is limited seating available as there are only 48 tickets available per hour. Tickets will sell out fast.

Love On Tap, 3rd Annual Benefit for Virginia Pride – Hardywood (Ownby Lane), Sunday

Join us on Sunday, June 24 as we celebrate community, equality, and love! The taproom opens and drafts start flowing at 12:00 PM. At 2:00 PM we kick off the 3rd annual Love On Tap honoring the 3rd anniversary of marriage equality in the US with live music, fabulous drag performances, local LGBTQ owned and operated businesses and organizations, delicious food trucks, and more! A portion of the sales from this event will benefit Virginia Pride. Family friendly, all ages welcome.

The celebration wouldn’t be complete without a special beer to match the occasion. We’ve teamed up once again with our friends at Ardent Craft Ales and Center of the Universe Brewing to bring you an upgraded version of last year’s summer smash hit, Tropic Like It’s Hot, a sour ale brewed with passion fruit and pineapple. Fit for kings and kweens, Tropic Like It’s Hot displays an incredible magenta hue, naturally derived from the addition of butterfly pea flowers, and delivers an uplifting aroma of fresh tropical fruits with a tart, dry finish that will keep you cool and refreshed wherever, however and with whomever you choose to celebrate Pride!

Tropic Like It’s Hot will be released for #freshcanfriday on June 22 in our Hardywood Park Craft Brewery (Richmond), Hardywood Park Craft Brewery (Charlottesville) and Hardywood Park Craft Brewery (West Creek) taprooms, on draft and in 4×16 oz. cans to go. Tropic Like It’s Hot will also be served on draft at Love On Tap and at the 2018 Pridefest on Browns Island, September 22nd.

PRIDE is all about community! We have some absolutely fabulous neighbors in the Ownby ‘hood and we’re all getting into the spirit! Be sure to visit our friends at Castleburg Brewery for Pride Day 2018 at Castleburg Brewery and Taproom, and stop into the tasting room at Cirrus Vodka for some Pride-inspired libations — all 3 of our locations will be raising funds for a different LGBTQ-focused non-profit organization. NOTE: we’re all within short walking distance, but alcoholic beverages will not be permitted outside of our individual properties.

Vintage is for Lovers RVA is popping up at the Veil Brewing Co.! At the market you will find vintage clothing, furniture, jewelry, and decor along with local art and handmade goods. We will also be joined by the Veil’s farmers market!

Gravitational Wave Double IPA Returns – Final Gravity, Friday

Another day another IPA and that is definitely a good thing.

This 100% Mosaic DIPA has been gone since September but as the high temps move in, so does Gravitational Wave. But just as quickly as the tides turn, it will move out once more.

Nothing says summer like a big slice of watermelon enjoyed outside on a hot sunny day. So we put that feeling into a can. This German Sour Ale becomes a new American quencher with the addition of watermelon puree. The tart, salty sourness from the kettle-souring with lactobacillus gives the beer a dry, crisp quality that is the perfect complement to the watermelon added after fermentation. Summer never tasted so good!
