vegan and vegetarian options, challah, bialys, rugelah, house country white, pastries, and homemade

When asked about opening their first storefront location, owner Nate Mathews stated, “Our store has
been a long time coming. There will finally be a home nestled in the heart of the City for Richmonders
to have a great bagel. We will have so much more to offer. As someone who has been used to
waiting for takeout food around the City, I’m happy we will be able to (eventually) deliver a quick, in-
and-out experience but with awesome, fresh made eats – fast food 2.0 if you will.”

If you’re not familiar with Nate’s story the quick version is that he turned his experience as an engineer into a meticulous study of creating a great bagel. This study involved two years of trial and error, trips to New York, New Jersey, and bagel shops around Virginia. He started with a pick-up service based out of his kitchen that quickly grew into the pop-up and farmer’s market success that most of us are familiar with.
