RVA Earth Day Festival in Manchester this Saturday
Get ready to celebrate the earth by drinking, eating, and listening to music. Hopefully, after you’ve been doing something productive and helpful for good ole’ mother earth.
Come out and help FEED RVA celebrate our community and Mother Earth in Manchester for RVA Earth Day Festival 2018. The festival takes place between E 3rd & E 2nd Streets off of Hull Street right next to the Richmond Railroad Museum. The celebration starts at noon and lasts until 7 PM.
This free festival won’t be lacking for music three live music areas will play host to the following artists:
- Lobo Marino – 12 pm to 1:00 pm
- Dead Letter Officers (R.E.M. cover band) – 1:15 pm, to 2:45 pm
- Diamond Heist (Neil Diamond cover band) – 3:15 pm, to 4:45 pm
- Mighty Joshua – 5:15 pm to 6:45 pm
That’s not all you’ll find. There will be art, yoga and more than 100 artisans and vendors. Of course there will be plenty of food and drink. Beerwise you’ll have a large selection of Legend beers and representative beers from Ardent, Kindred Spirit, Triple Crossing, COTU, Strangeways, and Hardywood.
As for the more Earth Day focused activities check out Race Without a Trace taking place just across the river.
The third and final day of our 3-Day Celebration of Sustainability includes our family friendly, community-focused Richmond Earth Day 5K Race Without a Trace, showing off the best the city has to offer. Run, walk or stroll down the newly completed Virginia Capital Trail and see the beauty of the James River and its downtown surroundings. Learn easy ways to help the environment along the course and finish just half a mile from one of the best events of the Spring.
