Open High PTSA raising money for broken chairs
Open High is looking to replace 200 chairs and is about 10% towards their goal of $6,000.
Let that sink in for a moment. Local parent, teachers, and students are so frustrated with the seating in their city-run school that they’re forced to raise money on their own. Kudos that they see a problem and are finding a solution but depressing that it needs to happen.

Help Open High create an environment more conducive to learning! This PTSA fundraiser will replace the hard, broken and uninviting chairs that populate the classrooms.
We’ve already raised about $650. And a generous sponsor is offering to match new gifts, up to $500. In total, we are working toward a goal of $6,000 to purchase 200 new chairs.
Each chair is only $29. We hope you will “buy” a chair or contribute whatever you can afford … every dollar makes a difference.

RTD is reporting that Superintendent has picked his new RPS Cabinet.
Four of the five Cabinet members who have been hired will make $180,547 per year, while the fifth will make $175,250, the division said.
The cabinet has been reduced and savings are predicted to be around $200,000. For Open High that would buy 6,896 chairs. Open High enrollment is around 180.
