Allegheny Warehouse Redevelopment Community Meeting Next Week
The massive piece of land has been pretty much empty most of my time in the neighborhood. Looks like that will change sooner rather than later.
The large property on Semmes could have a major impact on the neighborhood depending on what is built. A meeting is being held, hosted by Councilman Parker Agelasto to receive input from the community. The plans for the project are being tweaked but currently, the involve residential townhouses and about 17K sq ft of retail space.
Preston Lloyd with Williams Mullen is an attorney helping the owner of the former Allegheny Warehouse property at 1802 Semmes Avenue work through the redevelopment of this site. His team has been in ongoing conversations with this this office over the past 12+ months. The plan has evolved through the course of these conversations, and they have reached a stage where they hope to solicit the input of the community by giving a presentation.
You are invited to join the conversation with the development group at Woodland Heights Baptist Church (611 W. 31th Street) to ask any questions or voice any concerns you may have regarding this project on Tuesday, January 30th at 6:30pm.
