Water Main Break Shuts Down I-95

Expect severe delays during the evening commute has VDOT deals with the mess.

A water main running beneath Broad Street has burst onto I-95 as you’d expect this has caused a few issues.

VDOT’s official statement:

Due to high standing water in the roadway, I-95 NB lanes are now CLOSED. Traffic is being diverted off at Maury St. (Exit 73). The left lane remains closed heading southbound. A two mile backup remains NB & SB. Expect delays

Water is currently shut off but standing water remains. All affected State Offices are closed. A picture from the actual break on RTD.
