VCU Police respond to gun being brandished

Last night around 11:30 during an argument a silver handgun was displayed. The gun was not fired or pointed at the victim.

On Dec. 6, 2017 at approximately 11:33 p.m., VCU Police responded to the 800 block of W. Grace Street for a report of an armed subject.

VCU Police officers spoke with the victim who reported that an argument ensued between him and the offender. During the argument, the offender displayed a silver handgun prior to fleeing south on Laurel Street, and then west on Franklin Street. The weapon was not pointed at the victim and there were no injuries during this encounter. The VCU Police Department believes that the two individuals left the area.

The offender is described as a male, thin build, a beard, wearing a teal blue sweatshirt (Universal Studios in yellow written on the front), light blue jeans, black hat and carrying a black and red checkered backpack. He was accompanied by another male, light skin, dreads, wearing a black jacket, black skull cap and jeans.

VCU Police Department is investigating the matter.
