Anchor Bar sets sail
The wing restaurant didn’t last a year at Stony Point Fashion Park.
Richmond BizSense.com broke the news yesterday that Anchor Bar in Stony Point Fashion Park didn’t open for business on Monday.
It pitched itself as the “Home of the Original Buffalo Wing”. There are eight other Anchor Bar restaurants located in around the country.
We have less wing options now but here is my quick take. Both Galley and Laura Lee’s have great wings. They are usually much bigger than your run of the mill wing and the flavors are more creative than your basic Buffalo Wing sauce.
O’Toole’s Restaurant & Pub has your straight up traditional wings very similar to what Anchor Bar had and are pretty good for mass consumption while watching the sporting event of your choice.
