Cover to Cover Purple Rain – Hardywood, Saturday
Remember back in the day when you’d listen to an album start to finish? Shuffle on your mobile device takes you on an erratic, zig-zag of music. The album experience follows a specific path that has its own set of rewards. Give it a try this Saturday at Hardywood.
Trunk Show Band (give them a LIKE!) returns on Saturday, July 15, with their next full album cover show: PURPLE RAIN, by Prince and the Revolution! Take a trip back to 1984 and join us for an evening celebrating the life and music of the one and only Prince. This event is FREE and open to ALL AGES!
This also happens to be Trunk Show’s 10th full album cover show, so they’re kicking the night off with a Memory Lane Mix-tape featuring a tune from each of their 9 prior albums, with music from They Might Be Giants, The Killers, Fleetwood Mac, Green Day, Amy Winehouse, Heart, Paul Simon, David Bowie and Alanis Morrisette
Pets & Pints – Lickinghole Creek Craft Brewery, Saturday
Some breweries are perfect for taking our four-legged companions. Lickinghole Creek is one of those breweries with its wide open spaces and farm setting. Taking the family pet to the farm out in the country can be a good thing. It’s only natural that the Goochland brewery would want to help out their furry visitors.

This facility will serve as the hub for innovation adoption and education programs designed to engage and empower the community to make a positive, lasting change in the lives of animals in our community!

DRINK THIS
For those craving the new and shiny beers there are a couple good ones coming out for and they’re on different approaches to the wonderful world of hops.
Triple Crossing has their new IPA hopped exclusively with Galaxy hops, All Neon Like. This beer will debut Friday, July 14th at the Foushee location. They tend to more in-your-face style of hops
Final Gravity is taking a more subtle approach with their take on hops. They’re presenting Fast Machine American Hopped Pilsner on Thursday. This one will have American Simcoe and Chinook hops, promising a rush of pine citrus but will still cool you down at 5.5%. Don’t worry if you want a little more bite in your hops because on Friday Final Gravity is re-releasing Solar Flares DIPA brewed with Mosaic, Amarillo, and Citra and Triple Dry Hopped. This one has a two crowler limit.
Look at that, three beers coming out and six types of hops being used. It’s a magical world we live in.
