Rep35 brings an award winning musical and happy hour to downtown

Virginia Repertory Theatre’s young professional group, Rep35 has the noble goal to engage and include young theatre patrons 21-35 years old, to encourage a lifelong love of theatre. Discounted tickets and happy hours before every show during the Virginia Rep season help make that goal reality. Rep35 has been in action for about three years now, and has grown every year.

Their big summer event coming up this Friday, June 30th.

The performance is In the Heights, the first musical from Hamilton’s Lin Manuel Miranda. With spirited characters, pulsing choreography, and an award winning Latin- hip-hop-infused score, In the Heights won 4 Tony Awards in 2008, including Best Musical, and was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 2009.

Prior to the show in the alley beside the theatre, enjoy happy hour, tacos from Boka and cool down with King of Pops. There’ll even be free show swag so you can take a bit of the performance home with you. All of this and a ticket to the show for $25 get your tickets online, enjoy a night of theater and more.
