Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden held a great event for all the mothers during Mother’s Day weekend and they’re rolling out the carpet for the dads as well for Father’s Day Weekend.

Dads and other caregivers deserve more than one day to feel special! That’s why we’ve created a whole weekend of fun and relaxation. Enjoy laid-back activities and crafts in the Children’s Garden Saturday and live music and a cookout (food available for purchase) at Bloemendaal House on Sunday. Garden admission also includes our Butterflies LIVE! exhibit and Wild Art: A Journey Off-Canvas. A special treat on Father’s Day Weekend is the chance to see Artist Noah Scalin create pop-up art in front of the Conservatory on Friday and Saturday.

Perhaps most intriguing is local artist Noah Scalin best known for creating a Skull-a-day is creating an anamorphic projection sculpture (image will only appear when you view it from a specific vantage point). The sculpture will depict the Garden’s founder Grace Arents and will be created out of broken terra cotta pots and gravel found at the Garden. You’ll be able to watch the work in progress on Friday and Saturday in front of the conservatory to check out the Noah Scalin Wild Art Pop-Up.
