Another nice review for our local spot on Semmes.

Before give you the link and a taste of the RTD review a bit of Laura Lee’s news. Work is progressing on their patio as you can see from this picture on the Laura Lee’s Facebook and blueprints.

Outdoor dining y’all. But you’re not hear to look at pretty plants you’re hear to see what the professional food eaters say about Laura Lee’s. As an amateur food eater everything I’ve had at Laura Lee’s in three visits has been spot on and I love the space.

The review from the Times Dispatch doesn’t disagree with me.

From the RTD Review:

Next came the entrées. The pressed pork shoulder, slow roasted overnight and then seared before serving, ($20) was fork-tender. The kitchen adds a little apple cider vinegar, which came through, as did the signature fatty flavor of the cut. The beer-braised collard greens on the side were seriously cooked, which worked with the dish, but the cheddar cheese grits were a little bland.
