Goat on the run

A case where someone getting your goat would be a good thing.

Keep yours eyes peeled in the area for a rogue goat.

Wandering Cow Farm brought a female goat to the Farmers’ Market a couple weekends ago but the goat wasn’t into hanging at the market and took off into the woods. Reports are that she is friendly & easy to lead on leash, but no collar is on her. Please call RACC (804)646-5573 if you see her. The farmers are searching daily, but live too far away to respond quickly if they’re not already in town. Call RACC for fastest response, they have all info for contacting the farmer.

If she’s in your yard, please hold her there. She’ll go over low fences but 5 or 6 ft should keep her in. The goat is described as tan with a white topknot, smallish horn.

Further complicated the tale of the rogue goat is that she recently had a kid and needs to be milked to stay healthy. There is plenty of water and goat edible plants in the area so food isn’t likely to attract the goat out of hiding.
