It’s like magic. Sugar Shack is turning crayons into doughnuts.

A two-alarm fire hit Henrio county’s Baker Elementary School on Sunday morning.  Fortunately that damage was limited to the cafeteria and four classrooms. Students were scheduled to be back in the school on Wednesday.

Although the damage wasn’t severe it did wipe out some supplies and all the local Richmond Sugar Shack Donut shops are pitching in to help out. Bring in a few supplies and leave with a doughnut. The free doughnut deal ends on Friday but the shops will be collecting supplies through the weekend at all locations.

The official word from Sugar Shack:

We are helping support a local school, Baker Elementary, that suffered an awful fire, water and smoke damage. Students and teachers are in need of: pocket folders, loose leaf notebook paper, pencils, glue sticks, crayons, washable markers, highlighters, dry erase markers, boxes of tissues, hand sanitizer, composition books, and ziplock sandwich bags- sandwich and gallon size. So until Friday we will be collecting and any donation of the above items will get you a free house donut.
