WATCH: High Point Barbershop, The Veil Brewing Co. team up for international film competition

High Point Barbershop and The Veil Brewing Company are participating in an international film competition presented by GoDaddy that highlights small business and their unique success stories. The companies have close ties to one another and agreed to work together to help draw attention to both businesses, as well as the city of Richmond.

“This was a cool opportunity to participate in something with good friends who are also business owners,” said Matt Tarpey, owner of The Veil Brewing. “A rising tide raises all ships….so we hope that this is good for all of Richmond.”

“We were stoked to be involved in this project highlighting fellow creative Richmond small businesses,” said David Foster, owner of High Point. “Our intention is to stay innovative while being true to the craft, which is very similar to the path of The Veil Brewery. We might be small, but we’re always climbing the mountain to achieve greatness.”

The two films were created by a collaboration of local filmmakers and agencies, including Love Affair, Ost Haus, and pigsalreadyfly.

The videos took ten days to make, from concept to submission. The competition begins February 14th and runs through February 21st. There are approximately 190 entries from around the world and GoDaddy will award prizes to the top ten. Voters may vote once per day.
