They’ll by donating 20% of ALL sales of Venus Rising Double IPA and Venus IPA on 2/14 to help P.A.L. continue to offer low cost neuter and spay right here in RVA. CELEBRATE THE WOMEN OF CRAFT BEER

I attended this even last year and it was excellent. The speakers all provided some very interesting insight into brewing and particularly what’s like to be a woman in a male dominated industry.

Strangeways Facebook Event:

Women have been a major part of the booming beer industry for some time now. It’s time to celebrate that with the STRANGEWAYS BREWINGCelebration of Women in Craft Beer event!

Come for the education and celebration of all that women have done to bring the beer industry where it is today- complete with some of your favorite ladies of the RVA beer scene and yummy food. Live music by Gina SobelDuo will begin at 4p following the presentations.

All are invited and we especially want to see the faces of all our amazing industry and craft beer lovin’ women who are out there supporting this incredible craft movement! Cheers!

Some of our fabulous female presenters will include:
Taylor Hopkins, Bar Manager at Jack Brown’s Beer & Burger Joint Richmond

MAKE VALENTINE’S DAY LEGENDARY

You don’t want to wait until the last minute to plan out your Valentine’s Day. This advice applies even if you’re flying solo. Either way Legend Brewing has you cover and the details are on Facebook.

IT’S TIME FOR AN INTERMISSION

Richmond BizSense has the details on a new brewery heading for Henrico. Intermission Beer Company will be near the Virginia Commons Mall.

Hit the first link for some details.

There’s no firm date for Intermission’s opening, but Courtney said they’re targeting mid- to late spring. The brewery has most of the equipment it’ll need to brew – it’s just a matter of waiting for ABC licenses.

“The buildout is so minimal. We’re dying to get brewing,” Justin said.
