TAPS TO FLOW AGAIN

Commercial Taphouse closed earlier this year and we all shed a beer tear. The Commercial Taphouse Facebook has this tiny tidbit of news that the plan is to reopen in December. That’s it, no other information although I can report I saw them adding some fresh paint to the doors last week. Hopefully we’ll find out more soonish and share it with you all.

Get the full details on Facebook and make sure you jump on the shuttle or swing by the Origin Beer Lab. The Lab won’t be serving up their beer yet but they’ll be slinging some special never before seen beers from the COTU mothership. Plus you’ll be able to say you were one of the first to check out the lab and all your beer geek friends will be impressed and give you free beers.

Details on this delicious event from Ardent:

Give good, get good back this Thanksgiving at Ardent! Our second annual Friendsgiving feast and food drive is happening Thursday, November 17, and it’s open to all. This mouth-watering event features dishes by some of Richmond’s best restaurants and chefs, including:
Sabai
Saison
Amuse Restaurant @ VMFA
The Roosevelt
The Daily Kitchen and Bar – Carytown
ZZQ
Union Market
Continental Divide Richmond
Lucy’s Restaurant in Jackson Ward
Mean Bird
Southbound
Barrel Thief Wine Shop & Cafe
The Blue Goat

To get your seat, just donate 10 cans of food in the taproom starting November 1 up until the event. The food you donate will go directly to FeedMore to support their work feeding children, families, and seniors across Central Virginia through programs like Meals on Wheels, the Central Virginia Food Bank, the Mobile Pantry, and Kids Café. Here are items they can use the most: feedmore.org/images/uploads/Items_MostWanted-3.pdf. If you can’t donate food, we will ask a $15 entrance fee.

Great food, great beer, and great company, all for a great cause!

BOURBON GINGERBREAD

If you missed out on the Hardywood Gingerbread Stout release last weekend but still want to be part of the release madness you can add over to Hardywood this weekend.

Hardywood Bourbon Barrel GBS returns on November 19th! The taproom will open at 1:00PM for draft and bottle sales, with mobile menus from Shamasuki, Arroz RVA, NYStyleFood Richmond, Smokie JOE’S BBQ & Dank Eats. Last call 9:30PM.
