I’m just winging it over here.

When I say home of the chicken wing I mean they claim to be originator of Buffalo Wings as we know them. The Champps location in Stony Point Fashion Park has been empty since February of 2014 but now a variety of The wings should be flapping into your mouth by the end of the year and optimistically by the time holiday shopping center rolls into town.

RTD has the details:

“Their whole kind of scene is the original buffalo wing,” said Reilly Marchant with commercial real estate brokerage Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer, who handled the lease negotiations on behalf of franchise operator David Allred.

Anchor Bar has seven locations — five in New York and two in Canada — with plans to open more in the coming year.

The restaurant specializes in chicken wings with nine sauce varieties and bone-in and boneless wing options on the menu. The restaurant also serves sandwiches, salads, wraps and pizza.

The Anchor Bar website states that each franchise menu is unique but you can count on these sauces to be making an appearance: Mild, Medium, Hot, Spicy Hot BBQ, Garlic Parmesan, Honey Garlic Sweet & Sour, Chipotle BBQ or Suicidal (If you dare).
