A walk on the rocks near Belle Isle the amount of trash left by fellow citizens  you’ll see is likely to send a nature lvoer into a rage. Unfocused rage does nobody any good. Channel that rage into action and join RVA Clean Sweep on Wednesday, August 24th from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.

Official RVA Clean Sweep event:

We will meet in the parking lot at 22nd street & Riverside Drive

We’re going to tackle the rocks on the James River at the 22nd Street entrance AND we will also partner with the Springhill neighborhood to help with the litter generated from overflow parking in their neighborhood. This prevents the litter from reaching the river by the storm drain after a rain too!

Please wear closed toed shoes, sunscreen, and bring a water bottle.

There are clean-ups going on weekly. Head to the RVA Clean Sweep website to check out one near you and the RVA Clean Sweep Facebook is great for checking out images of everyone working hard to make our city a bit better.
