TRIPLE GETS A DOUBLE BUT VEIL SCORES HIGHER

I’ve made no attempt to hide my love for Triple Crossing. Now there is more support justifying my love of their IPAs. Paste posted 247 of the Best American IPAs, Blind-Tasted and Ranked. Triple Crossing‘s Falcon Smash IPA came in at #40 and Clever Girl at #17. New kid Veil nabbed #14 with Master Master Shredder Shredder. All great beers and awesome to see them get ranked so high.

GRAB A SIXER

We all have that one friend we don’t ask to pick up beer for us. Busch has it’s place but it’s usually a beer of last resort or a substitute for water during an all-day event. RTD had the brilliant idea of getting a bunch of local Beeries (just like foodies it will catch on trust me) to go forth and come back with the ultimate six pack. Unfortunately, at least on my computer, the RTD site isn’t showing which each individual purchased what except for one person. You can check the full list at the bottom of the article and try to guess who picked what. If your local Beerie made the list grill them on their selection and belittle their selections. It’ll be fun.

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS

Yeah we’re the champions of getting a new brewpub by Champion Brewing. More beer and food options is always good. Beer and food options going into the resurgence of a previously unused spot in downtown is even better. RTD broke the news that Champion Brewing will be opening a brewpub at the corner of Grace and Fourth in the old Aurora night club. Jason Alley and Michele Jones of Pasture and Comfort will be heading up the food portion of the pub which has some more excited than the brew.

PINBALL WIZARD

I’m a child of the 80’s which arguably was the golden age of pinball machines. Not only did we have great machines coming out with flashing lights, added movements, extra flippers, and LED displays we had all the good machines bouncing around from the 70’s still in action. Now you can relive your pinball dreams at Center of the Universe. COTU posted this picture yesterday of these glorious money gobblers. I’m heading up there soon and gonna spend every quarter of my allowance, it’ll be rad.
