Richmond Animal League brings Woofstock back to Glen Allen on September 26
The free outdoor festival returns with live music, adoptable animals, a pet costume contest and the reveal of the 2027 RALendar winners
Last year, more than 3,000 people and a lot of dogs showed up to Innsbrook for Woofstock. This year, Richmond Animal League is doing it again.
The nonprofit’s annual outdoor festival returns Saturday, September 26, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 4951 Lake Brook Drive in Glen Allen, near Innsbrook Pavilion. Admission is free, dogs are welcome, and the whole thing doubles as a fundraiser for RAL’s rescue and adoption work.
What’s on the schedule
Music, vendors, a beer garden and plenty of animals looking for homes
The 2025 edition featured more than 60 vendors, and organizers say this year’s lineup will again include live music, adoptable animals, local vendors, a pet costume contest, kids’ activities, a beer garden and raffles. RAL suggests bringing a lawn chair or picnic blanket and settling in for the afternoon.
“Woofstock is one of our favorite days of the year because it brings together so many people who share our love for animals and our commitment to giving them a brighter future,” said RAL Executive Director Larry Eason. “It’s an incredible day of music, pets, families and fun, but at the heart of it all is our mission. Every person who attends, donates, adopts, sponsors or supports Woofstock is helping us continue providing hope, help and loving homes to animals in need.”
RALendar winners get announced on site
Voting runs through September 26, and every dollar counts as one vote
The festival will also serve as the finale for RAL’s 2027 RALendar Contest. The fundraiser lets supporters vote for their favorite pet at a rate of one vote per dollar donated, with voting open through the day of the festival. The top 12 vote-getters get a professional photo session and their own month in the 2027 calendar. The pet with the most votes lands the cover.
Vendor and sponsor spots are still open
Businesses can reach a few thousand local pet owners in a single afternoon
RAL is still accepting vendors and sponsors for the event, with multiple sponsorship levels available. Donations are welcome at the festival, though attendance is free. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the rain date is Saturday, October 3.
