The well-known social activist singer Jesse Welles was scheduled to play Lewis Ginter tonight. When he found out that Lewis Ginter Workers were striking he announced on Instagram that the show would be rescheduled. All tickets will be honored for the new show on September 25th at the National.

Unionized workers at the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden held a one-day unfair labor practice strike on July 29, 2026, centering on demands for higher wages, fair contract negotiations, and better safety stipends.
