Sale of Short Pump Town Center may be one of region’s largest transactions at nearly $300 million

The selling entities say a “controlling interest” in the property, which is 97% leased, is an option on the table.

Control of the region’s busiest mall is up for grabs.

A controlling stake in Short Pump Town Center is being marketed for sale, according to a flyer obtained by BizSense.

The mall at 11800 W. Broad St. currently has a split ownership group made up of local real estate firm Pruitt Associates, Australian investment firm QIC, and Brookfield Properties, a major real estate investor based in New York.

It’s unclear whether all three groups are looking to sell; however, the listing notes that a “majority interest” in the mall is available. Eastdil Secured, an investment banking firm out of New York, has the listing.
