Flying Squirrels lock up a playoff spot, and now fans can lock up their seats

The Richmond Flying Squirrels already have a postseason berth in hand. Now fans can grab a guaranteed seat to watch it.

The team announced Monday morning that three-game ticket packages for its home games in the 2026 Eastern League Postseason are on sale. The packages cover every potential Flying Squirrels home playoff game in September, and they come at a discount.

Richmond earned its way in on Friday night, clinching the Eastern League Southwest Division first-half title and punching a ticket to the playoffs.

Here’s how the packages work. Each one guarantees the same seat for all three potential home games and knocks 10 percent off regular individual-game pricing. If any of those games don’t end up being played, package buyers get an account credit toward 2027 rather than losing out.

The home slate starts in the Division Series. Richmond will face the Southwest Division second-half champion in a best-of-three matchup, with Game 1 played on the road at the second-half champion’s ballpark. Game 2 comes to CarMax Park on Thursday, Sept. 17, followed by Game 3, if necessary, on Friday, Sept. 18. Should the Flying Squirrels advance to the Eastern League Championship Series, Game 1 of that series lands at CarMax Park on Sunday, Sept. 20.

There’s also a reason for season-ticket holders to pay attention. Renewing and new members who put down a 25 percent deposit on a 2027 season membership by Friday, July 31 will get tickets to all three potential playoff games in their regular seats at no extra cost. Three-year members get that perk automatically. Members who’d rather buy a playoff package instead can score an even steeper discount depending on how many games are in their plan.

Fans who’d rather wait for single games can do that too. Individual-game tickets for the 2026 playoffs go on sale at a later date, depending on availability.

Playoff packages are available now at SquirrelsBaseball.com, by phone at 804-359-FUNN (3866), or in person at the CarMax Park ticket office.

Before any of the postseason drama, though, there’s more regular-season baseball to catch. The Flying Squirrels come home for a six-game series against the Akron RubberDucks from June 23 through 28, with tickets available through the same channels.
