Few duos have had the staying power of Emily Saliers and Amy Ray. Since breaking out of the Atlanta club scene in the late ’80s, the Indigo Girls have sold over 15 million records, won multiple Grammys, and earned what might be the best compliment Rolling Stone has ever handed a pair of musicians: “the ideal duet partners.”

Now they’re bringing that catalog to SERVPRO After Hours Concerts at the Innsbrook Pavilion in Glen Allen on Friday, August 14. Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 13, at 10 a.m. through afterhoursinnsbrook.com or by phone at 1-800-514-ETIX. A limited run of Early Bird General Admission tickets will be available through March 19 while supplies last.

The duo’s self-titled 1989 major label debut, powered by “Closer to Fine” and “Kid Fears,” moved over two million copies and cemented their place in the folk rock canon. Sixteen studio albums later, they’ve maintained a devoted following that spans generations. Beyond the music, Saliers and Ray have been tireless activists, working on immigration reform, LGBTQ advocacy, education through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, death penalty reform, and Native American rights. They co-founded Honor the Earth, a nonprofit focused on Indigenous environmental justice and sustainable Native communities.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. with the show starting at 7 p.m. The event is rain or shine with no refunds. The Innsbrook Pavilion is located at 4901 Lake Brook Drive in Glen Allen.
