Richmond Schools Closed Thursday and Friday

Meal distribution will be available on Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the following locations: Cardinal Elementary School and Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School.

All RPS schools and offices will be closed tomorrow, January 29 and Friday, January 30. We know that while conditions may be improving on your block or neighborhood, large parts of our city, unfortunately, remain icy and unsafe. We prioritize the safety of all students above all else. Thank you!
Meal distribution will be available on Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the following locations: Cardinal Elementary School and Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School. Please note: Meal distribution is for RPS families only. Please bring an ID.
Students should continue working asynchronously.
Preschool and elementary students should continue working on packets. Assignments for elementary students will start being sent via ParentSquare. Secondary students should continue using their Chromebooks and check Canvas for assignments. All assignments must be completed by the first day back in order to receive credit. If you have any questions regarding assignments, please reach out to your child’s teacher via ParentSquare.
Employees should work remotely as able. Facilities and maintenance teams should check in with their manager in the morning.
