The Museum District Art Walk is back this Friday, October 3, with dozens of local artists setting up along Sheppard Street and throughout the neighborhood from 4 to 8 p.m. The event is designed to showcase Richmond’s creative community while turning porches, patios, and front yards into pop-up galleries.

The Virginia Museum of History & Culture is serving as a hub for the event, with vendors set up in its parking lot and beer and wine available through the museum’s Commonwealth Café. Food trucks including Waffles on Wheels, Cluck & Roll, and Kristen’s Kitchen will also be on hand.

Artists will display and sell works ranging from fine art and prints to ceramics, jewelry, textiles, and candles. Each participating vendor has been paired with a homeowner or business in the Museum District, creating a walkable showcase of creativity across the neighborhood.

The art walk is free to attend and open to the public, rain or shine. Vendor applications have closed, but the event remains an opportunity to shop local, enjoy food and drinks, and explore one of Richmond’s most walkable districts.
