Police identify victim in Chamberlayne Avenue homicide

Richmond Police said officers were called at approximately 6:48 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, to the 3400 block of Chamberlayne Avenue for a report of a person shot. Officers found DeJesus inside a residence with an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where he died the following day, Sunday, August 24.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
