Henrico County Public Schools will host a community meeting on Tuesday, July 29, to share details about the planned replacement of Quioccasin Middle School. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the school’s gymnasium, located at 9400 Quioccasin Road.

Representatives from HCPS and the school’s design team will provide an overview of the project and answer questions from attendees. The plan calls for the construction of a new three-story building behind the current facility, which dates back to 1971. Once the new building is complete, the original school will be demolished to make way for relocated athletic fields.

The replacement project is scheduled to be completed in time for the start of the 2027-2028 school year.

The initiative is part of a broader capital investment approved by Henrico County voters in 2022, when 86% voted in favor of a bond referendum to fund various school construction and improvement projects.

For more information, a slide presentation about the design and a video from an October 2024 School Board presentation are available online.
