Sweetgreen, the mission-driven restaurant brand focused on connecting people to real food, has officially opened its first Richmond location in Carytown. The 2,162-square-foot restaurant is part of the company’s continued nationwide expansion.
“Sweetgreen was founded just a couple of hours from Richmond with the goal of bringing communities together through fresh, high-quality food,” said Jonathan Neman, Co-founder and CEO of Sweetgreen. “We’re honored to carry that mission forward in Carytown, partnering with local businesses and serving delicious meals made with real ingredients.”
As part of its evolving menu, Sweetgreen has introduced Ripple Fries, available at the Carytown location. Made with crispy, wavy-cut russet potatoes, avocado oil, fresh herbs, and sea salt, these air-fried fries are designed for optimal dipping, paired with new sauces like Garlic Aioli and Pickle Ketchup.
In keeping with its commitment to community engagement, Sweetgreen partnered with Feed More for its Richmond opening to support Central Virginia residents experiencing food insecurity. For every meal purchased on opening day, Sweetgreen donated a meal to Feed More.
Located at 3502 W. Cary St. in the Carytown Exchange, the restaurant accommodates 24 diners inside and six on the patio. Customers can also order online for pickup or delivery through order.sweetgreen.com or the Sweetgreen app. The restaurant operates daily from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
