RVA Fashion Week returns with full lineup of spring events

Richmond Fashion Week (RVAFW) is back for its 17th year, bringing an exciting mix of fashion, art, and culture from April 21-27, 2025. This year’s week-long celebration promises immersive experiences and showcases from both emerging and established designers, offering something for all fashion enthusiasts.

“Our new leadership team is incredibly excited to grow into their roles,” said Jimmy Budd, Co-Founder and Executive Producer of RVA Fashion Week. “After a fall and winter of restructuring, we’ve assembled a talented team that’s ready to deliver an unforgettable week of programming for Richmond.”

Highlights include the “Unveiled” show on April 22, featuring fresh, bold collections from emerging designers like Omari Jade, Yanni, Model Maven, and Cuerazo Leathers. On April 26, “Flowism: Where Art Meets Fashion in Motion” presents a dynamic fusion of fashion and art, with designers Aziancy and Gracist turning garments into living art. Wellness Wednesday on April 23 offers a day of health and renewal, with activities across Richmond, including a wellness event at The Workshop by T&D, featuring a panel on wellness in the creative community.

On Saturday, April 26, “Unscripted,” the largest runway show of the week, will showcase avant-garde designs from N5 Couture, Suit Brother, and MADKAT, pushing the limits of fashion with bold, rebellious creations. The week wraps up on Sunday, April 28, with “OFF GRID – The Streetwear Revolution,” a high-energy showcase of streetwear culture, in partnership with Swap Meet RVA, featuring eight designers, including Pro Legacy and Dread Generation, celebrating the pulse of city life and the future of street fashion.

Spring 2025 RVA Fashion Week Full Lineup

Monday, April 21 – Opening Reception (Quirk Hotel, 6-10 p.m.)
A stylish kickoff event where media, designers, and fashion insiders gather to celebrate the start of the week. This networking mixer will introduce the designers of the season and acknowledge sponsors and partners who help make RVAFW possible.

Tuesday, April 22 – ‘Unveiled’ (Deco at CNB, 7-9:30 p.m.)
This runway show spotlights emerging designers who are pushing the boundaries of fashion. Expect bold, fresh collections that showcase originality and innovation. Designers include Omari Jade, Yanni, Model Maven, and Cuerazo Leathers.

Wednesday, April 23 – Wellness Wednesday (Various locations, 6 a.m.-8 p.m.)
A day dedicated to wellness, self-care, and balance, featuring fitness sessions, wellness workshops, and a community event at The Workshop by T&D Event and Community Space. A panel discussion will explore the importance of prioritizing health in the creative and entrepreneurial industries.

Friday, April 25 – ‘Flowism: Where Art Meets Fashion in Motion’ (Deco at CNB, 7-9 p.m.)
A fusion of art and fashion, this show transforms garments into moving masterpieces. Expect avant-garde designs that embrace structure, movement, and expressive storytelling. Designers include Aziancy and Gracist.

Saturday, April 26 – ‘UNSCRIPTED: A Defiant Expression of Avant-Garde Fashion’ (Deco at CNB, doors open at 4:30 p.m., show 6:30-9:30 p.m.)
The most daring show of the season, UNSCRIPTED, showcases avant-garde fashion that defies convention. Expect sculptural silhouettes, unexpected textures, and fearless designs from a lineup of boundary-breaking designers, including N5 Couture, Leve, Suit Brother, Suigens, MADKAT, Fort Mose 1738, and Chelita Lenice.

Sunday, April 27 – ‘OFF GRID: The Streetwear Revolution’ (Deco at CNB, 12-5 p.m.)
Streetwear takes center stage in this high-energy showcase celebrating urban fashion, sneaker culture, and underground influences. From bold silhouettes to statement graphics, OFF GRID brings together designers who define the pulse of street style. Partnering with Swap Meet RVA, featured designers include Pro Legacy, Dread Generation, NUBATI INDUSTRIES (“New Body”), Quila Familìa Empire, Karte Blanche & Big Twin Studios, CHIRTÉ LLC, Three Scoops, and Kamala Bhagat.
