Drive-By Truckers coming to Groovin’ in the Garden at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden

The third Groovin’ in the Garden concert will feature American rock band Drive-By Truckers on their Southern Rock Opera Revisted 2024 Tour. The concert date is June 10. Tickets go on sale to the general public on March 29 at 10 a.m. at lewisginter.org. Physical tickets will also be on sale at Plan 9 Records.

On this very special tour, Drive-By Truckers is commemorating the reissue of their landmark Southern Rock Opera album by performing the work in its entirety. Released in 2001, Southern Rock Opera was the first in a string of critically acclaimed albums for the band, known for combining astute politics, southern storytelling, and high-energy shows. Based in Athens, GA, the group also has roots in Richmond, VA.

Tickets start at $39, with additional levels of pricing for premium seating. For more information on ticket pricing, options and concert details, visit lewisginter.org. The location of the concerts is the Cochrane Rose Garden at Lewis Ginter. Food and drink will be available for purchase in the Garden (outside food and drink are not allowed to be brought in.) Blankets, tents and canopies are NOT permitted. Guests may bring lawn chairs. Bags must be clear and no larger than 16 “x16″ x8”. The concert is rain or shine; no refunds. Ticket holders are encouraged to carpool and rideshare.

Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is partnering with Broadberry Entertainment Group on the Groovin’ in the Garden series, which includes five to six outdoor concerts this summer and fall. Other artists scheduled are Carbon Leaf (May 30) and Ben Folds (June 11). Announcements about additional upcoming acts will be made soon.
