U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg will be interviewed on a live taping of the public radio show Full Disclosure on Dec. 1 at the University of Richmond.
Hosted by Roben Farzad — journalist-in-residence at the Robins School of Business — Full Disclosure is a weekly show on NPR member-station Radio IQ that features conversations about the business of culture, policy, markets, media, and a range of other topics.
“I love to host iconoclasts, people I’d love to meet over lunch,” says Farzad. “Authors, newsmakers, people with uncommon backstories. I hope the audience will learn something. Laugh. Cry. Be together. I love it when I look out into the audience and see not a single person on a phone.”
Secretary Buttigieg serves as the 19th Secretary of Transportation. The first openly gay person confirmed to serve in a president’s Cabinet, Secretary Buttigieg previously served two terms as mayor of his hometown, South Bend, Indiana.
“Our partnership with Full Disclosure gives our students access to a wide range of internationally relevant impact makers,” said Mickey Quiñones, dean of the business school. “Roben’s masterful interview style also provides a unique learning experience for our audiences. I am excited to see where our collaboration takes us.”
This event is currently sold out. Patrons are invited to join the standby line 1 hour before the event, as seats will often become available the night of the show. For ticket information, click here.
