Science Museum of Virginia offering special $10 admission days on 10 separate dates this year
Visitors from all over Virginia can now experience the Science Museum’s interactive exhibitions, labs, makerspace and demos for just $10 per ticket category.

The Science Museum of Virginia has announced a new initiative for science enthusiasts: the 10 for $10 program. Visitors from all over Virginia can now experience the Science Museum’s interactive exhibitions, labs, makerspace and demos for just $10 per ticket category. And the good news doesn’t stop there. This $10 admission offer will be available not just once, but on ten separate days throughout the year.
The first $10 day falls on Thursday, May 18, International Museum Day. For the remaining dates this year, visitors can take advantage of the offer on June 2, August 26, September 30, October 10, and November 8. The June 2 date also includes the Science After Dark: Ready to Launch evening event themed around the touring exhibition Space: An-Out-of-Gravity Experience, with $10 admission available until 8 p.m.
The Science Museum will celebrate NASA mathematician Katherine Johnson’s birthday on August 26, and will combine three celebrations into one on September 30: Hispanic Heritage Month, the ¡Virginia Fiesta! event, and a $10 day. The Science Museum is also offering more $10 days throughout the first half of next year, which are available on its website.
The $10 admission applies to all guests, regardless of ticket category. Science Museum members and children aged two and younger, as well as active-duty military, retired military, veterans, and teachers with ID, receive free regular admission every day. Further discounted tickets are available for EBT cardholders through the Museums for All program. Permanent exhibitions, labs, makerspace and demos are included in the $10 admission, while Dome features and admission to Space: An-Out-of-Gravity Experience require additional tickets.
The Science Museum’s mission and values include creating an accessible experience for all, minimizing and eliminating obstacles, and ensuring the broadest cross section of the community has access to STEM resources. Visitors can pre-purchase tickets on the Science Museum’s website or purchase admission at Guest Services upon arrival.
The Science Museum of Virginia is located at 2500 W. Broad Street in Scott’s Addition.
