This groundhog was spotted getting up high for some tender shoots.

The groundhog, also known as a woodchuck, is a rodent of the family Sciuridae, belonging to the group of large ground squirrels known as marmots. The groundhog is a lowland creature of North America; it is found throughout much of the Eastern United States, across Canada and into Alaska. Although it’s not unusual for them to climb tall bushes or trees this is the first time I’ve seen it. Groundhogs were also at time called Whistlepigs and that makes me happy.
