Broadway, Richmond area theatre stars descend on The Hippodrome November 5th for “Hearts With Haiti” benefit

Since 2001, the benefit has been supporting the Saint Joseph Family ministries in providing a loving home, nutritious meals, medical care, education, and employment to the most disadvantaged in Haiti – former street children, child slaves, and those affected by disability and abject poverty.

On Saturday, November 5th, Broadway is taking a night off from New York to perform a gala concert at Richmond’s Historic Hippodrome Theater to raise funds for the Richmond-based nonprofit, Hearts With Haiti (HWH).

Since 2001, HWH has been supporting the Saint Joseph Family ministries in providing a loving home, nutritious meals, medical care, education, and employment to the most disadvantaged in Haiti – former street children, child slaves, and those affected by disability and abject poverty.

Today, more than 30 children and young adults live at Wings of Hope, a home for those with physical and mental disabilities, approximately 260 children receive their education through Lekòl Sen Trinite, and hundreds of young people and thousands in the broader community have benefitted from the services by community centers in Port-Au-Prince and Jacmel. Organizers say the need for aid is greater than ever today due to the ongoing violence and political turmoil.

This concert series began in 2013 and returns to town after a three-year hiatus. It all takes place Saturday, November 5th at 6:00 PM at The Hippodrome Theatre in Jackson Ward, located at 528 North 2nd Street.

General admission tickets are $65, and VIP tickets go for $100. Purchase tickets online here, and donations are accepted at this link.
