The rate of Covid-19 infections is dramatically climbing across the nation and Virginia is no exception. The reasons for the spike are large numbers of unvaccinated folks and the new more contagious Delta variant. To fight this surge there are a ton of events that are offering up walk-up vaccinations. Covid-19 vaccines are not required for school entry, however, RHHD encourages all children ages 12 and up to get the COVID-19 vaccine to protect themselves and others. More information on Covid-19 on the Richmond City Health District page.
