Richmond Then and Now: Forest Hill Avenue

A then and now snapshot of Richmond.

The photo above is from the RTD photo archives with the caption, “In October 1951, workers constructed a section of Forest Hill Avenue in South Richmond. The segment sits between West Hills Boulevard and Prince Arthur Road.”

To get this picture I stood pretty much on the corner of Forest Hill Avenue and Westover Hills Boulevard. Prince Arthur Road is a full block behind me.
