PHOTOS: Demolition begins on former Regency Square Macy’s set to become indoor aquatics facility

The former department store is well on its way to being transformed into the indoor aquatics center for NOVA Swimming.

Henrico County shared images this week on social media showing the demolition process that has begun at the former Macy’s store at Regency Square. The former department store – which opened as Hecht’s, the predecessor to Macy’s – will make way for a new indoor aquatics center being built by NOVA Swimming in partnership with the county.
